Bismuth Telluride Cube for Semiconductor cooling Module

Semiconductor coolers are versatility with many uses, it can be used to make portable refrigerators/incubators, as well as the heat dissipation of electronic devices. At present, the most important semiconductor material used in refrigerators is bismuth telluride.

A galvanic pair if formed by welding the particles of an N-type and P-type semiconductor materials with a metal connecting piece( like copper). The energy can be transferred once the DC current is turned on, the current flows from the N- type element to the P-type’s joint, the joint can absorb heat, which is called cold end, and when the current flows from the P-type element to N-type element, the joint releases the heat, which is called heat end. The magnitude of heat absorption and release are determined by the magnitude of the current flows and the number of the N and P pairs.
